How about sending the flowers to many people rather than sending it just one person???
If 200 different people in DC get flowers then it will definitely create a larger impact than sending it one single person. .. Atleast thats what I think ...
We can very well send them to White House as well.. I know president responds to them with a nice autographed picture of himself alongwith first lady..

For all those bouquets your sending... they will dismiss it as some security breach... cmon dont u know by now how USCIS is after 9-11.
They might just create panic out of innocent lovely flowers.
How can it be a security breach if we inform the media what we are doing? Besides... we are not the ones physically delivering those flowers! It is the florists! We are just ordering them!

My I140 was approved at California center and my 485 is sent to Nebraska on june 22. Is that a problem?

When we tried to schedule infopass (for sep) we found only one are two dates and appointments start from 6 AM. Is this correct? Will the office be open so early? We got a slot at 7.30 AM.
Also once you book an appoinment, I see only 'cancel' option, how to get to modify option?

I appreciate your spirit, although I don't agree with your belief that you own the thread or the messageboards by the virtue of your creating a thread.
What I posted was a plea to introspect (more so as the first anniversary of the D.C. rally approaches) - it was in no way dismissive of your efforts, or an effort to ridicule or demean your thread or its spirit.
Not sure why you felt the need to be rude - being firm and clear about your goals is a sign of leadership, and being blunt may get you some more brownie points. However, brash/rude behavior is not a substitute for that clarity and firmness, imho - particularly with those who may be working towards the same goals as you are (albeit coming at it from a different angle).
All the best in your endeavors, my friend.

I don't think the Canadian officers will ask you that question. But like someone else said on this thread that question may be raised by the US officers when you return. I am curious to know about this myself.
Aslo (I don't want to scare you but thought you ought to know) there's another discussion going on here http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17061 where the US officers at POE in SF airport raised an issue saying that AP can be only used for imergencies. This looks more like an isolated case but I want everyone to be aware of that case.

2) does canada immigration officer ask me why i have applied for canada gc while my USA gc is in process?:confused:

Based on a quick scan of the above documents (which may not be a complete list of documents on AOS), I did not find a single reference to LAW that specifies when AOSs can (not) be submittted by GC applicants. My guess is that there is no such law That is why AILA is calling it rubbish.
I urge everyone to scan these (and othet documents) for LAW that specifies when AOSs can (not) be submittted by GC applicants.

Folks, here is what I am able to gather by self employment
(1) One can be self employed
(2) 1099 or w2 - kinda tricky - most people I talked to do w2 and any profits they get after they take their salary are bonuses
(3) The job has to be legitimate - in the same or similar category - you must be doing duties that are similar in nature to your 140 petition
(4) What is meant by legitimate is - you must simply not be doing "nothing" - there must be income and you must be doing your duties.
Correct me if I am wrong

5. Job duties must match with original labor/I-140 conditions.

Could you please show us, where in the link you provided, H-1B applicant needs to treated equally for job hiring as compared to GC and EAD workers.
EOE deals with equality (i.e. equal opportunities) for hiring, job promotion, and firing.
IRC Act 1985 deals with unlawful employment of aliens, unfair immigration-related employment practices, and fraud & misuse of certain immigration-related documents.
Two different things.
However, once H-1B applicant is hired, he/she is protected just like any other worker, for job promotions, training, and other work conditions. But employer is under no obligation to extend H-1B beyond any initial H-1B petition date. And, yes, H-1B can also be fired at will*, just like any other worker.

Hi Guys
My date is not current but I understand the frustration here. However I beleive USCIS is under severe pressure to reduce the backlogs and not waste any numbers this year....so they are trying to exhaust them as and when they can...in that scenaio I guess lower hanging fruits are getting picked.
But on the bright side as I see it as more and more people get their GCs its a smaller line and the officers should be able to get to everyone's file in due course.
I completely believe the system should be FIFO but then don't you think that will be too logical for the USCIS......
Hopefully if they are able to get a lot of people out of the way they should go back to normal processing from October when new numbers are available and the pressure is somewhat less.....
Again above is my theory. I hope everyone gets their green cards soon and the line keeps moving.

These type of analogy is nothing but a bullshit. USCIS under pressure??? What pressure? Who do they care? Why should they worry? Whole immigration system is a circus(jumbo, gemini circus) playing with our lives and with full of jokers making fun of us.

I am seeing that reedandbamboo is considering for EB2 only. We have to include EB3 too for law-suit. I beleive that we will have more than 1000 people if we inlcude all categories.
