Where the hell all these guys when EB3 is getting 80K to 100K of total 140K visas all these years and EB2 is getting just merely 10%-15%. Nobody from EB2 didn't felt jealous like this before. It is hard to digest for them now.

If you want EB2 I to get the visas and move forward...it will.

I understand u r EB2 ....EB3 I is frustrated...like how you want ur GC its the same line EB3 I is also.

The guys from EB3I have been waiting all these years.

Its the DOL's mistake for the delay of labor approvals ,hence the visa wastage.Otherwise this backlog for EB3 I woudnt have been there in the first place.

The two years standard gap would have been maintained there for EB3 I and EB2 I as usual.

When there is no movement ,this will be the reaction for the EB3 I people.

When you are eager for yr Gc ,the same rule applies for everone.

There is a big block EB3 row in between -so dont say all the visas were taken by Eb3 I only.

Did you know the visa flow earlier?

I never knew.People learn by experience.

These frustrations are not jealousy...Eb3 I is suffering and waiting for a solution.

kindly dont under estimate anyone's feelings.Every family here is undergoing pressures and agony.

Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...

I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.

SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.

The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.

Have invested too much of time in this country to just pack up and go. Just curious if any of you feel this way? How do you handle such depressing feelings?

8 months ago- everything looked hopeless.
it seemed I was ages away from being able to change a job or ever get a GC
but here I am - few weeks ago (fingers crossed) from being able to change jobs on AC21.

So I thank God for the small mercies and carry on
Would I like to get a GC? yes. Of course !!!
But I do pause to thank for what I have and try to make the most of it.
I am sure you too have lots to be grateful for.

Chin up- and try not to think about GC so much...that works for me at least...

The EB-2 category for Indian nationals has retrogressed four years and will be set at January 1, 2000 for applications received beginning June 1st. If you are from China, the backlog is five years less - February 15, 2005. And if you are from any other country in the world, there is no wait at all. I am really appalled that Congress allows such an unjust distribution methodology to remain the law. No country is permitted to claim more than 7% of the numbers in a green card category. That means tiny countries like Andorra and Botswana get the same...

Only if it is too restrictive. this case is pretty straightforward and simple. employee is directly hitting the employer's revenues.

That means nothing in the court actually. It takes a lot more such as violation of trade-secrets for a court to rule against an employee. If hitting revenue was a valid reason not to change a job, nobody will ever be able to change a job.

What you mention is a common misconception.

I was getting excited coz seeing july 24 filers getting theirs and then i read your post :( Mine was received at NSC by same guy on July 30 11:23 a.m. But then again...it's uscis so i might just get it even the earlier filers right? ;)


There are 1000s waiting for receipts , filed before July 24th . Hope someone apprises USCIS that people are aware of it & they cannot fool millions just by a silly update (who is asking for it anyways!)!


Applied to NSC on 18th July and received on 19th by F.HAUINER (has anyone received application by this person.. asking just to check if mine reached the right place)

Well, it goes beyond that. This is a "complicated story with no sub titles".

IV website is a board where people of all kinds visit and there is no control over stuff. Just go to any blog site - we see 100 rants and crazy comments as against a few wise talk.

I guess we have to live with it and keep pushing people. Sometimes loud and sometimes gently.

My friend, it is to "push the people" that I am saying all this. How best can we push? Through word of mouth, or thru full campaign?

Another idea: How about restructuring the forums?
In the home page, we promote only those discussions that are important to all, like advocacy.
In next tab, we take on the discussions that are based on individual problems
And all else, can go to the third tab

Also on home page, the following items (just some examples of general interest matter):
- Advocacy day. Donations received vs required.
- Big red button: Donate
- Some links to recent news items on immigration

Home page should have text content that introduces IV, its activities, and a small lecture on why skilled immigration is important

Although I doubt it.. We are just not hearing back due to the volume of applications.. Not coz they plan on giving us greencards.. But..Wish you are right..

Gurus:

Does anyone, who has PD getting current (under EB2- I/C) during Aug/Sept. got their EAD Renewed, and cards received. ?? If so, what's your EAD-Renewal Appln Date / RD and Cards Received Date.

I suspect, USCIS is NOT issuing EAD Renewals, to probable Current PD holders, any more. :D hopefully. This is a good Sign, if true. Does anybody agree with me.. Let's Party out. :)

This is becuase, my EAD Renewal Appln. RD is June 18th.. and till date I have NO LUD of whatsoever, and PD would be current during Aug.bullentin

Hey man. What a brave man you are. Rather then worrying about your self, you are actually concerned about your wife getting her green card. I commend you. I dont what I would have done, If I had been told this news.

your whole family will be in our prayers. I am sure you are seeking all the help you need, but right now your #1 priority should be beating this. Green card will come and go, but your health is number 1.

Where are you. I believe if you get in touch with the senator or congressmen from you state, I am sure they will help you in this matter.

brickbats and concerns apart few people believe in the concept and are ready to put the money where their belief lies. So if you can do something about it do it. Other suggestions are ok may be they can be made in the other thread where there is a discussion about media attention.

ADIT - Alien Documentation, Identification & Telecommunications System (ADIT Photo's no longer used by the USCIS )

ADIT refers to biometrics. What the approval notice is stating is that you will get your GC within 60 days or when you complete any ADIT processing that still needs to occur.

Some people are getting their GC approved without an up to date ADIT file. So the application is approved and an ADIT request is made. Once you complete it, they send you the card.

The old I-551 stamp was also refered to as an ADIT stamp, but I don't think that's what they are refering to here.

Don't worry about it, it's the standard message.

IF ADIT PROCESSING IS REQUIRED THEN IT WILL BE MENTIONED IN THE WELCOME NOTICE. THIS IS A STANDARD MESSAGE. I ALSO GOT THE SAME MESSAGAE BUT MY WELCOME NOTICE DOESNOT HAVE ANYTHING ABOUT ADIT PROCESSING. SO TAKE IT EASY.

There is no harm in giving your contact number to let the reporter know that you can be contacted for any follow-up questions.
Other things that we can do to create a buzz around it is to talk about it in blogs, various forums etc., specially if you are a blogger. Already, if you search USCIS+Flowers in Technorati, there are a good number of hits - we should try and increase them.

Call up your local public radio station and tell them about this event (http://www.npr.org/stations/)

Santosh_gc, I don't have a problem when you talk about illegals getting ahead of legals etc. But the comment about illegal immigrants bringing corruption into the U.S. was way out of line. It is unfair that illegal immigrants may get ahead of legal immigrants. Let us leave it at that and not speculate on how they might introduce corruption into society. No discussions on how they break the law when they enter the country - that is a bogus argument. Just about every one of us breaks the law every time he/she gets behind the wheel of a car, unless you claim you always drive the speed limit. By your logic, then every immigrant from India can be disallowed as we are exposed to as much corruption in India as there is in Mexico and we might infect the U.S. culture just as much. Bkam's comments didn't add any value to the discussion and were just offensive.

Keep the argument civil and logical and treat others the way you would like yours to be treated.

The Ombudsman, I am an IV core member. You may be a contributor to IV but please don't expect me to answer a call from you just because I disagree with you and you would like to argue about it. Keep your arguments logical, don't give us hearsay about what some lawyer told you.
